Though we are not in a park reserve the wildlife is here, commonly monkeys, toucans and parrots, iguana and sloth, along with many the others, though naturally we can make no promises on what be seen. However there are amazing amounts of the Amazon Pink Dolphins in these waters and on many of our journeys we enjoy 30-50 sightings. ~ Amazon Pink Dolphin |

The Amazon forest in it's wondrous life-lush naturalness is a vast influence on your experience, making available the permanent connection to our Mother, Nature. Here we return to the fullness of the feeling of belonging, with the reconnection to the source of all our nourishment, on all levels - physical, emotional and spiritual. The Shipibo land is protected and the tribe carefully lives in sustainable relationship with the forest, flourishing, respecting and regenerating life. ~ Amazon Rainforest |
The Shipibo tribal natives we will be staying with have an ancestral tradition in the use of Ayahuasca and carry thousands of years of indigenous healing wisdom. This shamanic tradition is rooted in humanity's evolutionary sanity, bringing stability into what can be a life changing, profoundly altering and healing experience. Ayahuasca is a teacher plant allowing us to access stupendous correctness of the intelligence of Nature and Life. The plants offer true wisdom by bringing us into a greater perspective and direct experience of the whole of Life, encouraging us to evolve in natural, shared wonder. |
The traditionally trained, true lineage, ayahuasceros have been carefully selected by the fact that they are accepted by their peers within their own communities. They have proven themselves amongst their people as authentic healers, sufficiently humbled by the plants so they show up as genuine. No put on paint and feathers dramas or pretend rituals in order to try and make better what is already awesome. These, along with knowledgeable guides and worthy travel companions, can create an extraordinary secure container for your explorations. The medicinal plants and the ceremonies are only offered, nothing is mandatory. Ayahuasca, in the process of healing, can sometimes be emotionally agitating. For the sake of the group and our relationship with the tribe and the shamans, we maintain the right to withhold the ceremony from anyone that appears unstable, overly loud or disruptive. Perhaps you would enjoy reading about the ayahuasca experience written by a North Am. medicine man and good friend who has come to travel with us several times, Jade Wah'oo "Monkey Tree Night" - Alan's night stuck in the rainforest swamp, an Amazon initiation - Yes that is my silly mug shot clenching the pipe in my teeth at the top of the page and normally I will be accompanying the ayahuasca journeys. All meals are provided when we are in the rainforest and the hotels we stay at provide breakfast. Apart from this there will be a few meals on your own expense when in Lima and Pucallpa.
