ABORIGINAL AUSTRALIA |

|
The Aboriginal tribes of Australia are cultures that give us such a feeling of antiquity and connection to the land.
|
They have been in Australia for over 70,000 years. Just being around some of them can be a reminder of who we are and where we all come from - true ancestrally rooted Earth-People. |

| Our journey to the unique island continent of Australia, will first center in the red desert and the sacred rock Uluru. Commonly known as Ayers rock, Uluru is the aboriginal name and our guides there will be the Anangu Aborigines, stewards of this sacred site. |
From them we will hear the histories of the great spirit beings that formed the ways of the land and their ancestors. These are the ancestral ways that still today are their living laws. http://www.ananguwaai.com.au/anangu_tours/ From the deep desert we fly next to the Australian northeast coast and the tropical Daintree Rainforest that fronts the Great Barrier Reef. There we will be with the Kuku Yalanji tribe. They are a people obviously shaped by the sweet and lush spirits of the forest and sea of their ancestral homelands. We will enjoy much time with various tribal members walking the forest and beaches, sharing their native crafts, food and lore. We will also be with their healers and those that choose may partake of their herbs, spirit healing and ceremonies. We will camp two nights amidst many cockatoos and kangaroos in highland Eucalyptus forest in tribal traditional humpys, bark covered huts that we make comfortable with mosquito netting and beds. And the tribal dance troupe will join us in traditional ceremony. ~ Aborigine at sunrise |

Finally we go down to the coast and the tropical paradise of the Daintree rainforest. The last few days are to enjoy the beaches and Great Barrier Reef as you choose. You'll have the options to sail, snorkel, dive or just lie in the warm sand. Your flights to and from Brisbane and through Australia are not included in the journey price and as is explained in the itinerary, you will need to buy your air pass through Qantas. Depending on the time of the year, your round trip from Los Angeles and the various stops in Australia may cost from US$1,300 - US$1,500. ~ Daintree Rainforest beach |
